We are given equation 18x +15y =90.

Where x is the number of gallons of blue paint and y is the number of gallons of white paint.

We need to graph the equation.

In order to graph the linear equation, we to find some points on the graph.

Let us plug x=0 and find value of y.

Plugging x=0 , we get

18(0) +15y =90

0 +15y =90.

15y =90.

Dividing both sides by 15, we get.

y=6.

We got first coordinate (0,6).

On the same way, now we would plug y=0 and solve for x.

18x +15(0) =90

18x =90.

Dividing both sides by 18, we get

x= 5.

So, we got another coordinate (5,0)

Plotting points (0,6) and (5,0) on the graph and draw a line by joining the points.

b) We can see the line cut x-axis at 5 and y-axis at 6.

Therefore, x-intercept is 5 and y-intercept is 6.
