Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was an American statesman, became president of the United States around 1933 until 1945 at the time of his death. After president Franklin had died, many Americans came to the conclusion that having a president serve 8 years was more than enough, and this led to the 22nd Amendment., which was passed by Congress in 1947.
