The first thing that the Pilgrims did when they arrive at Cape Cod was to go on their knees and thank God of how blessed they were. They survived a hard trip with storms and huge waves, but they arrived safely. Shortly after, they realized that they were in a different place from the one they came from and that “they had now no friends to welcome them, nor inss to entertaine or refresh their weatherbeaten bodys, no houses or much less townes to repaire too, to seeke for succoure”.
