"Shooting an Elephant" is an essay written by George Orwell, in the year of 1936. In such, it is evident that the Burmese hated the English. They demonstrated it by doing little actions caused by a general negative attitude towards imperialism because it was suppressing them. For example they would be spitting on women dresses or jeering at officers.
