Answer-

The selling price of the CD is $12

Solution-

Given that, a guitarist earns a royalty of 22% of the selling price of a CD, which is $2.64.

Let us assume that the selling price of the CD is x

So the royalty he would be getting after each sell is,

=x* (22)/(100) =(22x)/(100)

According to the question,

\Rightarrow (22x)/(100)=2.64\\\\\Rightarrow x=2.64* (100)/(22)=(264)/(22)\\\\\Rightarrow x=12

Therefore, the selling price of CD is $12
