What is the relationship between Locke's Second Treatise of Government and a cultural shift in colonial society?

A. The British Crown used these words to justify their control over the colonies
B. Colonial society use Locke's ideas to justify their right to overthrow British control
C. The founding fathers used exact excerpts to write the constitution
D. It made the colonists want economic freedom from the British mercantilism system.

I chose B. But I am between B and D. I am second guessing myself. Just need a second opinion. Please only answer if you are 100% sure! Thanks (:

B is the correct answer. Although the reasons that sparked the Revolution were economic ones, they eventually developed to a want of a larger freedom and not only an economic one.
