The relatively cheap steel that was available for usage, influenced the railroad industry very positively. Since the expenses for the basic material used were pretty low, the railroad industry managed to create lots of railroads, both shorter and very long ones, in a relatively short space of time. this brought hem very big profit, but was also very beneficial for the economy as a whole, and for the movement of the people, so it was a win-win situation for everyone.
