We are given equation:
(1)/(3) +(1)/(5) =(2)/(8) =(1)/(4).

We need to explain if the given equation is true or not.

If true, then why true and if not true, why not.

We can see than we have 1/3 on left side of the equation.

And fraction 1/5 is being added into 1/3 on left side of the equation.

On right side of equation we have 1/4.

We know, 1/3 is greater than 1/4.

And if we add something into 1/3, it would also greater than 1/4.

Therefore, 1/4 is less than 1/3+1/5.

Those can not be equal.

Therefore, correct option is 4th option.

Because 1/4 < 1 /3, this equation can not be true.
