As per the question, the mass of car
[m]=1.72*10^(3) kg

The force applied on car
[F]=6.44*10^(3) N

We are asked to calculate the acceleration of the car.

From Newton's second law of motion, we know that force applied on a body is equal to the product of mass and acceleration of the body.

Mathematically force = mass×acceleration

⇒ F = m× a

a=(F)/(m)

= (6.44*10^3)/(1.72*10^3) m/s^2

=3.74419 m/s^2 [ans]

We have been given that the force is applied in east direction.Hence the direction of acceleration of the car will be towards east.
