Jefferson used a long list of objections to the British Empire. But broke it down into a history of repeated injuries and usurpations. Usurpations is probably the word you are looking for. Usurpations is an act of wrongful or illegal encroachment, infringement or seizure. This is everything that the British were doing to the colonist.
