Which of the following is an example of a function? the price of a one-year magazine subscription and the age of the subscriber, the cost of a small dish of ice cream at an ice cream parlor and the height of the customer, the time you spend at the library and the distance to the library, the time it takes to drive to the ski resort and the speed you drive

The time it takes you to drive to the ski resort and the speed you drive is an example of a function. The rest of the options don't have a very direct correlation :)

Answer:

The fourth statement.

Explanation:

When we are trying to describe a situation by a function we have to look for variables that are correlated in some way, in this case the first three examples doesn't represent any correlation, but the statement four represent what it could be a function because it correlates the time and speed for a ski.
