American life during the Great Depression was very hard as prices of items changed majorly, stocks prices fell, many workplaces went out of business, and people lost their home, cars, and even family if the conditions were poor in the area of living. Many homes were also tightly packed with people and you could have a chance of seeing 15 to 10 people in a 2 person apartment. The Great Depression also affected the world in different and similar ways.
