The correct answer is B. Parallelism.

Indeed, parallelism, which is a repetition of grammatically similar sentences which have equivalent meanings, in order to persuade or to emphasize a point. In this excerpt the narrator uses the two first sentences to state his lack of animosity to the “young man” in question. The third explains why he hold no such animosity against him. It has thus a tertiary structure.
