What are the difference between European and Native Americans attitudes towards land use and land owner ship?

This might the biggest difference that shaped the American history. Native Americans did not know the concept of ownership. They did not believe that the land or anything on it could be appropriated. Their tribes used communal space and moved a lot as nomads, so they did not really own anything. European settlers, on the other hand, had this concept of individual ownership of the land called the property. Native Americans had much more respect to the nature and its resources because they believed they have received it as a gift from the creator. Europeans, being of a Christian religion, believed that God gave them everything on this earth to use as they pleased.
