When Henry Plant´s wife, Ellen Elizabeth Plant was told she needed attention with her health, they moved South. They arrived in Jacksonville in March, but lived for several months near the city. This journey to the South was going to be repeated the next year for the same reason: care for her health, but they also had great opportunities for business , organizing and extending express services in that region.
