In bluepoint, the average low temperature for January was 40F. The average low in February was 27%F lower. What was the average low in February?

To figure this out, we have to find 27% of 40. We do this by multiplying .27 by 40.

.27 x 40 = 10.8

Since it is saying that February was lower, we subtract 10.8 from 40.

40 - 10.8 = 30.8

30.8F would be your average low.
