What is the simplified form of the quantity 1 over y plus 1 over x all over 1 over y minus 1 over x?

The answer is (x+y)/(x-y) hope this helps :)

Explanation:

You find the lowest common denominator of all of the fractions. Then you multiply them by the denominators. You cancel. Then the only terms that are left are (x+y) and (x-y).

The answer is (x+y)/(x-y)

So we have all of "x+y" over top "x-y" as one big fraction.
