Find the slope of the line passing through the given points. (-7,2) (-8,7)

You first subtract them
Meaning y2-y1/ x2-x1. It then becomes 7-2 / -8-(-7). 4/ -8-(-7) . Multiply the negative variables so it becomes -8+7= -1.
Your slope is 4/-1 = -4.
