The writer who was criticized for satirizing Greek Gods and heroes was Euripides. Satire was one of his genres, apart from the fact that he used to use the resource of solving a dramatic conflict using absurd solutions, such as he did in Medea when a magical carriage pulled by a dragon saved her from death.
