The War of 1812 is remembered because "it was the war the settle the disputes between Britain and America." There were many issues Britain was causing before America decided to declare war with Britain. Britain was capturing or abducting many seamen from America, they supported and helped Indian tribes, and they also ruining the trade route between America and France all are reasons why America declared war with Britain.

Hope this helps!
