Theodore Roosevelt is considered the "conservationist president.", due to the fact that he protected approximately 230 million acres of public land. There is a national park that has his name and honors his memory. He had a very sensitive perception of natural resources. Under his government, many associations, reserves, national forests and monuments to protect wildlife, were created.
