The Wartime Prices and Trade Board was created by Mackenzie King during his time as a prime minister to have the permission of controlling the rising prices and wages in the country. The goal was to avoid the problem of greed and inflation that was to face Canada. WPTB was given permission at by October 1941 whatever prices of goods were freezed and new charges were established.
