A keystone specie is a specie which has a disproportionate large influence on the ecosystem in which it lives relative to its abundance. The keystone specie determines what happens to an ecosystem to a large extent. So, if a keystone specie is remove from the ecosystem, the ecosystem will be negatively affected.

the ecosystem will start to collapse and this is exactly how your produces in this example would be removed by affecting the lower class organisms like rabbits, crickets, which will affect the primary carnivores like snakes and others and the higher class will be affected like owl will die off and your scavengers aren't able to pick off the dead animals which won't replenish the ecosystems which again will die off. hopefully this hop lol
