Greenhouse gases trap is essentially trapped carbon monoxide in the atmosphere. It traps heat.

Answer: Green house gases traps the amount of incoming heat penetrated through the atmosphere from the sun. The green house gases are namely, water vapor (H₂O), carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), argon (Ar) and chlorofluorocarbon (CFC).

The green house gases acts like a blanket in the atmosphere that protects us from the harmful solar radiation. High amount of green house gases will lead to the increase in the overall temperature, thus global warming will take place.
