I remember reading about this case. It is horrible. It is about Syphilis. I don't remember how the colored men in the play got the disease, but it wasn't the normal way. Dr. Douglas is white. He doesn't communicate with the colored very well. He gets Willie to give blood by explaining something about Syphilis. He then talks to Willie about the Cotton club and Willie begins to dance as he remembers a woman that danced there.
