The perimeter of a 5 sided figure is 45.56 meters. Two of the sides have the same length. The sum of the other three side length last is 24.2 meters. How long is each of the same length sides? Explain

Let

x---------> the length of the sides that have the same length in meters

we know that

the perimeter of the figure is equal to


45.56=(24.2+2x)

solve for x


2x=45.56-24.2


x=21.36/2


x=10.68\ m

therefore

the answer is

10.68\ m long
