What is the degree of the polynomial −6x^3y^2+5x^4−7z?

This was the only question I am stuck on!!

-6x^3y^2+5x^4-7z

To find the degree of the polynomial we count the degree of each term(each monomial)

degree of -6x^3y^2 is 3+2=5

degree of x^4 is 4

degree of z is 1

The highest degree of the minomial is 5

So the degree of the polynomial is 5
