Pieta is a marble sculpture made by Michelangelo and depicts Jesus and his mother Mary after the crucifixion. Mary is holding the dead body of her son in sadness. This work is a mix of Renaissance and naturalism and can be seen in St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican.
