The male moth is more active in comparison to a female moth. In case of coloration among the female and male moth, they are in majority identical in coloration. However, in certain cases, the male moth is brighter in color in comparison to the female moth.

In moth, camouflage assists in safeguarding it from predators. In the polluted regions, the color of moth is darker in comparison to the moth of the less polluted region. They camouflage in order to hide majorly against the predators in daylight.

It is because of their bright and striped color, they color themselves on the basis of the color of their environment.
