Explanation: The Renaissance is considered a turning point in history because by what it represented, it marked the movement of all humanity through the track of humanism. As a rebirth of classical Greek philosophy, art, naturalism and, above all, humanism, the Renaissance turned away from traditional Church teaching and paved the way for humanism, which manifested itself through all the later movements, philosophies, and aspirations of the whole world toward what we have today. Thus emerged Protestantism, the Age of Exploration, the Enlightenment, various revolutions for the liberation from monarchism and the founding of democracy, also modelled on ancient Greece.
