The reason its C is because meiosis and mitosis are both forms of reproduction. One being asexual and one being just sexual. They are both ways of cell dividing using the same stages.

Both of mitosis and meiosis are forms of cell reproduction based in binary fission.

In these processes, chormossomes get divided (not in the same way) into two halves which menas that the two daughter cells that originate from the mother cell will be identical.
