explain how the combination of electrons, protons, and neutrons results in the neutral charge of an atom

In that atom the number of protons is equal to the number of electrons as we should all remember or take note of the proton is positively charged while the electron is negatively charged thus they cancel out leaving an overall charge of 0 with the neutron which also has a charge of zero
