Why is it important for candidates to disclose we’re they get their campaign funds

Its important because it prevents corruption. It means it holds a candidate to have a moral compass and prevent he/she from buying votes or bribing to get them and prevents candidates from using funds for trips, household expenses, gambling, etc.
