It is important because acupuncture points are places where nerves, muscles, and connective tissue can be stimulated. The stimulation increases blood flow, while also triggering the activity of the body's natural painkillers.

Acupuncture has also been proven effective to help the following conditions:

High and low blood pressure, painful periods, morning sickness, dental pain, tennis elbow, inducing labor, reducing the risk of stroke etc.

It also helps knee, back and neck pain, as well as headaches and migraines.

hope this helps!
