Where are carbohydrates found in the body? And in cells?

Hi,

Answer: The Liver

My work: Carbohydrates are usually located and converted in the Liver.

Extra Information: The body uses Carbohydrates as glucose. From there glucose can be converted to glycogen.

Words you might not know:

1) Converted - To change.

2) Glucose - Energy source.

3) Glycogen - Stores Carbohydrates

The human body uses carbohydrates in the form of glucose. Glucose can be converted to glycogen, a polysaccharide similar to starch, which is stored in the liver and the muscles and is a readily available source of energy for the body.

Carbohydrates are found on the outer surface of all eukaryotic cell membranes and are attached to mostly the membrane proteins & sometime phospholipids.
