You will read for 45 minutes if your brother reads for 15 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation

You decide to read 30 minutes longer than your brother reads.

If your brother reads
x number of minutes, then 30 minutes longer than
x minutes means
(x+30) minutes.

As the number of minutes you read is
y , so the equation will be:
y= x+30

When your brother reads for 15 minutes, then we will just plug
x=15 into the above equation
. So.....

y=15+30= 45

So, you will read for 45 minutes if your brother reads for 15 minutes.
