On a coordinate plane, triangle UVW has coordinates U(20, -12), V(8,6), and W(-24,-4). Tianghle U'V'W' has coordinates U'(15, -9), V'(6,4.5), and W'(-18,-3).

Dilation or not? Explain.

Each coordinate of U'V'W' is 3/4 of that of UVW.

Triangle U'V'W' is a dilation of triangle UVW about the origin with a scale factor of 3/4.

_____

15/20 = -9/-12 = 6/8 = 4.5/6 = -18/-24 = -3/-4 = 3/4
