If 1/p+q=r and p≠-q, what is p in terms of r and q?

p = (1/r) - q

In order to find this, follow the order of operations to get the answer.

1/p+q = r ----> Multiply both sides by p+q

1 = r(p + q) -----> Divide by r

1/r = p + q -----> subtract q from both sides

(1/r) - q = p
