What is the occasion of salvation by langston hughes

Westley wasn't actually saved, but the pressure from the congregation got to him. Langston believed that Jesus was apart of him, but towards the end, he didn't believe in Jesus. The subject of this short-story was the sadness of "Loss of Faith".
