Describe the differences in an equation of f(x) = x when there has been a vertical tranformation up 7 units versus a horizontal transformation left 7 units. Write the equation for each transformation

The answer would be :

... f(x) = x + 7

Each of those transformations results in the equation

... f(x) = x + 7

There is no difference for this function.

The slope of the line is 1, so translation left by 7 puts it in exactly the same place on the graph as translation up by 7.
