During the process of cellular respiration the maximum number of ATP formed in the electron transport chain step. About 34 ATP molecules are produced during the ETC step of cellular respiration, while 2 ATP molecules are synthesise during the glycolysis and 2 ATP molecules are produced during the Kreb’s cycle. Hence the majority of ATP molecules are produced during electron transport chain.
