You have to distribute 3x+1 over the other parentheses
3x(2x^2 +4x-3) + 1• ( 2x^2 +4x-3)=
6x^3 +12x^2 -9x + 2x^2 +4x-3 =
Combine like terms
6x^3 +14x^2 -5x -3
