What is arithmetic population density?

Population density is a measurement of the number of people per given unit of land.

Arithmetic density is also referred to as Population Density. It is a type of measurement when total number of people are divided by the total land areas. For example, if the Nile Delta has a population density of 1000 people per square kilometer that means an average of 1000 people live an area 1 x 1 ,
