Explanation: Let us assume the molecules in large scale has
\text{x moles}.

and molecules in small scale has
\text{y moles}

Total Composition can be expressed in terms of the mole ratio.


\text{mole ratio}= \frac{\text{moles of a compound}}{\text{total moles}}

Mole ratio of molecule in large scale =
(x)/(x+y)

Mole ratio of molecule in small scale =
(y)/(x+y)

Total moles/composition will be = moles of molecules in large scale + moles of molecules in small scale

Total composition =
(x)/(x+y)+(y)/(x+y)

Total Composition = 1.
