B. Mitosis is the division or replication of cells. Normally a cell goes through checkpoints, to see if there are any mutations, “bad qualities” or need for the cell, then the body will order the cell to go through apoptosis if it catches anything wrong. In cancer, however, the cells blast through those checkpoints without a care in the world, so they keep dividing and replicating like crazy!
