Hello!

To solve algebraic equations, we need to use SADMEP. It is PEMDAS reserved and as the same rules. SADMEP is subtraction, addition, division, multiplication, exponents and parentheses.

Also, mixed numbers are fraction containing an integer and a proper fraction. Proper fractions are not improper fractions.

53x + 8 = -19 + 66x (subtract 53x from both sides)

8 = -19 + 13x (add -19 to both sides)

27 = 13x (divide both sides by 13)

x = 27/13

To convert the improper fraction into a mixed number, we divide the fraction and with the remainder.

The remainder will be our proper fraction, and the whole number will be the number of times the original fraction evenly divides into the numerator of the fraction.

27/13 = 2 remainder 1 → 2 1/13

Therefore, the value of x is 2 1/13.
