55g because you would still have the weight of the sugar but it combines with the liquid and spreads out into the water.

Answer: 55 g

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Mass of sugar dissolved in water = 5g

i.e. Mass of solute = 5 g

Mass of water in solution = 50 g

i.e. Mass of solvent = 50 g

Then the mass of the the sugar water (Sugar solution)=
\text{Mass of solute +Mass of solvent }

i.e. the mass of the the sugar water=
\text{5 g + 50 g = 55 g}

hence, the mass of the sugar water = 55 g
