4x + 8 = 2x + 7 + 2x - 20

Can somebody help me solve this and show me the steps you used and can you tell me if it has no solutions,one solution,or infinite solutions?

4x+8=2x+7+2x-20
4x+8=4x-13
4x+8-4x=4x-13-4x
8=-13

8 is not equal to -13
Therefore, there is no solution.

First you condense the right side (4x+8=4x-13)

We know this problem has no solution because if you subtract 4x from each side you will get 8=-13 and that is impossible.

Therefore there are no solutions
