Please Help

Some say that with advances in communication such as scanning, faxing, email, and text messaging, that students no longer need to learn how to write properly. What do you believe? Explain your position on this topic in short answer format.

I believe that in spite of advances in communication, students should still learn how to write properly. There is evidence to support that writing and language are the foundation of thought. If there were no writing or language, the act of thinking would be very restricted.
