log 27 = log 3^3

= 3 log 3 (Using a law of logs)

3 log 3 = 1.436

so log 3 = 1.436 / 3 = 0.47867

log 9 = log 3 ^2

= 2 log 3

= 2 * 0.47867 = 0.9573 (correct to the nearest 10 thousandth).

Answer:- log 9 = 0.9573
